Welcome to the endosymbiomics project!

A Systems Biology approach to bacterial interactions in insects:
genomic analysis, functional and evolutionary studies, and constraint-based modelling.

The mutualistic symbioses between intracellular bacteria and insects are very extended in Nature and seem to be a key factor of the evolutionary success of this group of organisms. The present coordinated project tries to undertake the study of such associations from one double perspective: evolutionary and systemic.
